Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the people of the country to battle the darkness of coronavirus by lighting diyas, candles and torchlight at 9 PM on Sunday, April 5 for 9 minutes. He asked people to keep the lights of the houses switched off during the activity. PM Modi reached out to the nation amid the lockdown to spread a message of positivity, community and strength. He also asked people to avoid gathering anywhere during the activity.
If we look at cases related to Tableeghi Jamaat, in last 2 days around 647 confirmed cases related to it found in 14 states-Andaman & Nicobar, Assam, Delhi, Himachal, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttarakhand and UP.
Health Minister Harsh Vardhan has appealed to patients and their families not to create any obstacle in the path of doctors while they discharge their duties. He also expressed concerns over misbehavior with doctors and medical staff
From yesterday till today, 336 additional cases of Covid-19 have come before us. Total confirmed cases are 2301, 56 deaths have been reported. 12 of these 56 deaths were reported yesterday. A total of 157 patients have recovered so far.
